It was a bright and sunny normal day in Republic City. Children were playing, spirits were chirping about, and everything was going along like normal. Well at least that's what everyone seemed to think. That is until so many people seemed to be appearing out of nowhere. For some reason Republic City seemed to be more lively and the crowds bigger.

The spirits have grown restless as if something important was about to change, and to try to fix that change, the spirits with their big long tree like limbs dragged people into the world left and right. Even the vines covering Republic City seemed to help. Although the spirits had the best intentions in mind, some people were more affected by the grab than others. There's talk that people in this city don't even know what this place is. People who have never heard of the words "bender" or "non-bender."

Welcome to Republic City! And to those who already live here: Happy Saturday. Please make yourselves at home and don't mind a little spirit gunk. It's mostly harmless. Go enjoy yourself a classic mover. Maybe you're the athletic type. If that's the case, come watch a few Pro-bending matches or form your own team. Just watch out for any Satomobiles. They can be deadly no matter how pretty the driver is.

Please remember to enjoy your stay and don't cause too much trouble. The Republic City Police don't need more riffraff to take care of. And don't stray too far. To make the the peace is kept, there's a huge spirit barrier around the perimeter of the city. It seems pretty strong, but it won't be able to last forever. Still, it's worrying. Radio signals and telegraphs don't seem to be getting past it.

[ And Jinora will gleefully return the hug, because Grandpa Aang. Hugging her. This was one of the coolest things ever. ]

Yes! There's me, my sister, Ikki, my brother Meelo, and my brother Rohan. Oh, you should meet Rohan too, but he's just a baby so he might not appreciate it as much as we would.

[ At the question of her age and mention of her title she suddenly looks a little nervous, rubbing her newly tattooed arm self-consciously. ] I'm eleven. Is... is that okay?

[ Because he had been so young when he got his tattoos, and here she was with them and she was so young and he'd never even met her before today. ]

[And it feels so fulfilling to hug someone of his own flesh and blood. Another airbender, after all this time. He pulls back, his eyes shining with emotion.]

They all sound so great. I wanna meet them all! Even Rohan - trust me, Jinora, no one appreciates things more than a baby!

[He sees her rub at her arms, and then he reaches to take her hands.]

Eleven? [His eyes widen as he contemplates the meaning of that.] Is... is that okay?

[And then he smiles, so pridefully.]

Of course, it's- it's more than okay! It's great! I love it! You became a master even before I did, and I'm so so proud of you!

You... you really mean it? [ When he takes her hands the smiles returns and she grips them back, her eyes lighting up. ] I studied and trained really hard. I only just became a master... I'm so glad that you're here to see it. [ And that he was happy about it, and proud of her. She feels like she's grown about three inches taller just hearing it. ]

I can't wait to see everyone's faces. My dad is gonna be so excited.

[ She tries to picture it; walking into the dining room as everyone's sitting down to eat, maybe asking if she can invite someone over for dinner. And then of course they'll say yes and in will walk Grandpa Aang. Her dad had wanted to badly for him to be here to see the new Air Nation, and here he was! It was like something right out of a storybook... One of the happier ones, too. ]

I do. I really really do! [He gives her hands a loving squeeze.] I'm so glad that I could see it. You know, sometimes, I... I never thought I'd see someone with those tattoos again. So I'm glad it's you. Really glad. [He's getting all choked up, so he lets one hand go to wipe at his tears, before he looks at her.]

C-can I meet your dad? I'd really love too, if he's okay with it, and I promise I won't cause any trouble!

[ She's so glad to hear him say that. She nods enthusiastically. ] There are a ton of new airbenders, too. They all helped with the ceremony and everything... I'm sure someday there'll be a lot of people with the tattoos again. [ If they'd stuck it out so far Jinora knew they'd make it. ]

Okay with it? [ For a moment she's confused, then a smiles breaks out. ] Of course you can meet my dad! He's going to love it. Everyone is. You have to come with me- maybe they're back at the island by now? [ The last part is said almost to herself; she hasn't really seen much of her family all day, and they might still be out in the city trying to help with things. But they would just have to come back for this. ]

A- a ton? [He says with a gasp of incredulous disbelief. He raises a hand to his head as he tries to grasp this, while warm tears flow freely down his face.] How? [And that's asked in a simple, innocent questioning tone.]

I'm really glad to hear that, Jinora! I'll come with you to- to whatever island, whenever!

It's all thanks to Korra. Avatar Korra. Because of her, airbenders popped up all over the place. [ And then after a short pause she feels she should clarify: ] Not like... you popped up here. Non-benders living here already could just suddenly airbend.

[ Aaaand then she realizes that this is probably a lot to take in within a short amount of time, so she tries to give him a moment. ]

[Yepp, he'll take that moment, because he is kind of mind-blown by the very idea.]

Whoa. Wait... really? Is... is that really possible?

I never would have thought so before. [ She admits; it wasn't exactly something that she had ever heard or read about having happened. ] But it's definitely happened now.

We were trying to find as many airbenders as we could, and a lot of them decided to come with us and learn all about being part of the Air Nation. So the temple's really full right now!

I... I can't believe it. A full temple?! [His hands grasp at his head in awed disbelief. He's tearing up some more and smiling so warmly as he contemplates it. He couldn't even imagine it.] I have to meet them!

Then let's go!

[ She announces, unable to wait any longer. Then she makes to take his hand and lead him out of the building. ]

Okay! [Aang laughs, gladly accepting the tiny girl's tug on his hand. He laughs from pure joy as she leads him out.]
