Welcome to Republic City!
It was a bright and sunny normal day in Republic City. Children were playing, spirits were chirping about, and everything was going along like normal. Well at least that's what everyone seemed to think. That is until so many people seemed to be appearing out of nowhere. For some reason Republic City seemed to be more lively and the crowds bigger.
The spirits have grown restless as if something important was about to change, and to try to fix that change, the spirits with their big long tree like limbs dragged people into the world left and right. Even the vines covering Republic City seemed to help. Although the spirits had the best intentions in mind, some people were more affected by the grab than others. There's talk that people in this city don't even know what this place is. People who have never heard of the words "bender" or "non-bender."
Welcome to Republic City! And to those who already live here: Happy Saturday. Please make yourselves at home and don't mind a little spirit gunk. It's mostly harmless. Go enjoy yourself a classic mover. Maybe you're the athletic type. If that's the case, come watch a few Pro-bending matches or form your own team. Just watch out for any Satomobiles. They can be deadly no matter how pretty the driver is.
Please remember to enjoy your stay and don't cause too much trouble. The Republic City Police don't need more riffraff to take care of. And don't stray too far. To make the the peace is kept, there's a huge spirit barrier around the perimeter of the city. It seems pretty strong, but it won't be able to last forever. Still, it's worrying. Radio signals and telegraphs don't seem to be getting past it.
[ OOC: The game is officially open! From this point on, feel free to make any posts you want or tag into this. Please remember to tag your posts with Canon: Character. Finally, although the game has no real network, you're free to respond with prose or brackets, whatever you're comfortable with. With that said, have fun! ]

That seemed like forever ago to him. So much had happened since their time on the beach at Ember Island.
He continues to keep his voice down, but that doesn't keep people from looking their way still occasionally. Zuko does tend to stand out. Something that he will have to rectify, and soon.

Lowering her voice again, she speaks in a frantic whisper. "Are you sure? One moment we were on the beach, the next I woke up here." She's thinking far too hard about this, but the only explanation it leads to is... "I was asleep for two years?"
no subject
"Yeah, I'm sure! I'm the Fire Lord, or I was before I came here. You're with the Kyoshi Warriors, one of my body guards. You don't remember any of that?"
He whispers that too. Not realizing that maybe he shouldn't be telling all the details of his future to her, but then wouldn't she find out about it anyway since they're both WAY in the future now?
no subject
"No, silly. I wasn't actually a Kyoshi Warrior, I only pretended to be on with Azula and Mai. Why would I join them if I'm with Azula-- Oh!" She completely missed a part of what he said, completely stuck on the whole Kyoshi Warrior thing.
"Wait, what about your dad? And Azula-- is she okay?"
no subject
There will be a lot to fill her in on. And with that that, Zuko glances around, then looks back to Ty Lee.
"We should talk about this somewhere else."

...
Okay. How exactly does he put this? Might as well just say it.
"So uh... a lot has happened. For me, anyway. I joined the Avatar and helped him take down my father."
no subject
While Zuko speaks, she takes the time to get a little stretch time in on her legs. "Oh, well..." It's a little hard to swallow, that he actually took down Fire Lord Ozai, but the rest hardly comes as a surprise. "Aang is really nice, isn't he? He helped show me around earlier. It was so nice to get to know him without Azula trying to kill him."
But, she realizes there's more to the story. "I guess that means he's no longer Fire Lord? What does that make you?" Though she asked about Zuko, what she really wanted to know what it meant for Azula. If he was Fire Lord, it meant Azula failed.
no subject
Not even he had seen Aang yet! So then he was really here? That's a huge deal. He hadn't been sure if many of his friends had made it here with him. But that also begged the question, what time would Aang be from? That's also another really important detail. Because... well... they hadn't always been friends after all.
He then calms down enough to answer her question.
"It means that I'm the Fire Lord now. Or I was before I came here."
no subject
She doesn't respond right away, taking the time to stretch out the other foot before returning to center. Azula wasn't Fire Lord and in some way that was a relief, though she was her best friend she knew what she was capable of. "If you're Fire Lord, what does that make Azula?"
no subject
"A lot of things happened, and Azula snapped."
He's not sure what prompted it, but he had a feeling it was Mai and Ty Lee's 'betrayal' of her at the Boiling Rock. Which he's not really sure he should bring up to her.
"Actually, the last time I saw her, she ran away into a spirit forest."
