Welcome to Republic City!
It was a bright and sunny normal day in Republic City. Children were playing, spirits were chirping about, and everything was going along like normal. Well at least that's what everyone seemed to think. That is until so many people seemed to be appearing out of nowhere. For some reason Republic City seemed to be more lively and the crowds bigger.
The spirits have grown restless as if something important was about to change, and to try to fix that change, the spirits with their big long tree like limbs dragged people into the world left and right. Even the vines covering Republic City seemed to help. Although the spirits had the best intentions in mind, some people were more affected by the grab than others. There's talk that people in this city don't even know what this place is. People who have never heard of the words "bender" or "non-bender."
Welcome to Republic City! And to those who already live here: Happy Saturday. Please make yourselves at home and don't mind a little spirit gunk. It's mostly harmless. Go enjoy yourself a classic mover. Maybe you're the athletic type. If that's the case, come watch a few Pro-bending matches or form your own team. Just watch out for any Satomobiles. They can be deadly no matter how pretty the driver is.
Please remember to enjoy your stay and don't cause too much trouble. The Republic City Police don't need more riffraff to take care of. And don't stray too far. To make the the peace is kept, there's a huge spirit barrier around the perimeter of the city. It seems pretty strong, but it won't be able to last forever. Still, it's worrying. Radio signals and telegraphs don't seem to be getting past it.
[ OOC: The game is officially open! From this point on, feel free to make any posts you want or tag into this. Please remember to tag your posts with Canon: Character. Finally, although the game has no real network, you're free to respond with prose or brackets, whatever you're comfortable with. With that said, have fun! ]

[Thankfully. He's glad to have found his Uncle. If there's one person he can rely on, it's definitely him. Among a handful of other people that have shown up.]
I've also found Jin and Suki.
[Or rather they found him. Do you remember them, older self?]
no subject
Oh? [Suki he remembers, of course, but...] Jin? You mean the girl from Ba Sing Se...?
no subject
[That had really been a surprise. And while it had been kind of a strange blast from his past, he wasn't unhappy that she was here. No matter how awkward it was. ... Actually that's probably kind of how his older self feels about him, though its a lot weirder.]
no subject
[Sorry, Zuko, even your older self likes poking a little fun at your expense. His amused smile quickly grows into a more serious expression, though:]
Joking aside... If so many here are showing up from the past, I hope the consequences will not be too dire. The world has only just begun to reestablish balance after Harmonic Convergence, but this could threaten to topple that all over again...
no subject
It's too late.
[He mutters this. She's already there, and he didn't have it in him to kick her back out onto the street anyway. But as the old man continues, Zuko looks up again.]
What do you mean?
no subject
I mean that it makes absolutely no sense for you, Uncle, or any of the others to be here. If time itself is being disrupted, what does that mean for the world as a whole?
no subject
I... don't know.
[He then looks at the ground, his eyes wide.]
What if something happens to us... or me. That would mess up everything.
no subject
[He's guessing not, given the cloak he's wearing, but still...]
no subject
But he's pretty sure there are people out there who have put two and two together. Most of them he wasn't really worried about... except one.
"There was this one guy who pulled me out of the street when I first got here. He figured it out, and was asking me questions. His name was Slade."
no subject
What did you tell him?
no subject
That I had last been in Hira'a and I had been Fire Lord for a year and a half.
[Not huge details really.]
But then he started asking if anything supernatural had happened. I only told him there had been a spirit, but nothing that could cause this. He then asked if anyone else had been there. I told him, no.
[There was no way Zuko would tell that guy who he had been with. He wasn't about to let that guy start harassing his friends and family if he could help it.]
no subject
[If his younger self discussing the incident he's sure he's referring to, anyway... which he's sure he is, if it involves Hira'a and a spirit.]
If it becomes common knowledge of who you are, there are those who might try to take advantage of that information. Exercise the utmost discretion.
no subject
I will. But... what am I supposed to do? Hide?
no subject
no subject
Right.
