It was a bright and sunny normal day in Republic City. Children were playing, spirits were chirping about, and everything was going along like normal. Well at least that's what everyone seemed to think. That is until so many people seemed to be appearing out of nowhere. For some reason Republic City seemed to be more lively and the crowds bigger.

The spirits have grown restless as if something important was about to change, and to try to fix that change, the spirits with their big long tree like limbs dragged people into the world left and right. Even the vines covering Republic City seemed to help. Although the spirits had the best intentions in mind, some people were more affected by the grab than others. There's talk that people in this city don't even know what this place is. People who have never heard of the words "bender" or "non-bender."

Welcome to Republic City! And to those who already live here: Happy Saturday. Please make yourselves at home and don't mind a little spirit gunk. It's mostly harmless. Go enjoy yourself a classic mover. Maybe you're the athletic type. If that's the case, come watch a few Pro-bending matches or form your own team. Just watch out for any Satomobiles. They can be deadly no matter how pretty the driver is.

Please remember to enjoy your stay and don't cause too much trouble. The Republic City Police don't need more riffraff to take care of. And don't stray too far. To make the the peace is kept, there's a huge spirit barrier around the perimeter of the city. It seems pretty strong, but it won't be able to last forever. Still, it's worrying. Radio signals and telegraphs don't seem to be getting past it.

A big fountain? That sounds like lots of fun! Alright, let's start the adventure. I'm gonna be your loyal sidekick, Aang!

"That's Avatar Aang's statue, on his memorial island." Jinora is so used to answering questions that she does so without a second thought, before even glancing at the person asking the it. Hopefully they wouldn't be too confused by the answer, considering Jinora currently bears a slight resemblance (to say the least) to the statue, herself.

Smiling, Jinora starts to turn.

"Is this your first time in the ci...ty..." She trails off awkwardly, giving the girl a strange look. She knew that face. She'd seen that face only a little older in pictures, and much much older in person.

And the Hero and her very awesome sidekick head out into the unknown city to see what lies beneath it all, and a fountain.

[ She finally gets up off the ground and dusts herself off before giving him a big grin. ]

"I'm hoping to get a few planes out back, too, actually." Asami turns to face Opal with a warm smile and rests a hand on her hip.

"How've you been, Opal? It's been a little while."

Asami is clearly a little frazzled by now, with the large crowd. She'd expected this, when she set up this little ordeal, but it still gets a little stressful.

"Thanks, Jinora." She sends a smile in her direction while she continues to fold maps and blankets with a few other workers.

"Are the airbenders up to anything after... recent events?"

"Very long. Never even heard of it." Come to think of it, there had been a lot of people asking her for directions today.

"How did you get here?" If he didn't even know how far he was from home...

Yes! The sidekick's very excited about this adventure. [It's weird and scary still - he has no idea where he is or where his friends could be, or how long he'll be stuck here. But a silly little adventure? That at least makes for a fun distraction. He gives her a toothy grin right back.] Ready to set off for the mysterious fountain!

Well, they can come here and get them.

[A bit of firmness comes into her voice. You're just like the several dozen other people who have tried to do the same thing, random guy.]

Oh, so that's a motor! [He raises a finger in realization.] I think I've seen... thingies like that before. ...On other thingies! So you have a whole show about them? [It doesn't sound that interesting...]

"Indeed, it would be a crime to keep a vibrant young woman such as yourself cooped up inside all day!"

He scratches his goatee and takes a sip of water.

Well, no. They can't.

[Wan said, a little surprised at her words.]

Some of them are too sick to. And the people that told me about this said it was only for the new people who aren't normally in the city to come pick up. To help them get started. Since they aren't new and they've been here for a while, they wouldn't be allowed to take the supplies. But since I am new, I can take it for them.

[ SHe laughs and pushes her bangs out of her face for a moment. ]

This is a little less scary with company, so thank you Aang.

As of next weekend, we do! It's our first time trying something like this, so here's hoping.

[She raises her eyebrows.]

You're one of the newcomers, aren't you?

I... guess could say I'm new in town. [He nervously scratches at one of his ears.] Is it that obvious?

Nezha flashes her a smile and waves. No, he doesn't have any clue who she is, but his ego's always up for a little inflation.

"No one else?" He addresses the crowd again, but it seems there are no more takers today, and they start to disperse now that the action is over. "Eh? That's boring." He picks up his winnings and, no longer needing his weapon, the firebending boy tosses the pipe off into the corner.

As he turns to leave, Nezha notices the girl from the audience and pauses. She hasn't left yet? "It's over, you know."

Zuko didn't see it coming, although he probably should have. But yes, this town with all its loud noises and so many things to look at is very confusing and distracting. Thus he stumbled a bit when she bumped into him, his gaze quickly snapping in her direction.

"Hey! Watch where you're-!"

And he was cut off mid sentence when the girl used a name he hadn't heard in a while now. His eyes widening a bit as recognition suddenly dawned upon him.

"Jin? Is that... you?"

It's definitely Zuko or... er... Lee. But he's a couple years older now from when she last saw him.

She almost couldn't recognize him. His hair was fuller and he looked a little older as well, but she could just tell it had to be Lee, and when he said her name she knew it was true. She actually got to meet Lee again. She didn't think she'd get another chance to see him what with that date that she scared him off from, or well she felt she did anyway.

She laughed sheepishly and gave him one of her usual smiles and a little wave.

"Long time no see, huh?"

[In the midst of his duty handing out all his fliers, so far no one had been that eager, that direct when it came to joining the Fire Ferrets. While they were still loved by the crowds from their rise from nothing two years ago, there was a little more skepticism from last year's failed run.

[And for what it's worth, Bolin learned a few things about how to do things during his failed captaincy last year.]

Whooooooa there, buddy. [Whoever you are. Bolin holds up his hands to slow this youngster down.] I can't just hire anyone onto the Fire Ferrets, sight unseen. I did that last year and—

[He stops right there, knowing that that's not the way to pitch something.]

But we are going to have tryouts soon. Thooooough if you want to give a small demonstration...

Oh right. Instead of watching him, she probably should have left with the crowd, but it was her first time seeing someone that looked so cool while they fought. She laughed and gave him a big grin before moving her arms behind her head.

"Sorry, I just wanted to stay behind to tell you how cool you looked. It was quite a show."

Hey aang? Do you think maybe this means we could be friends? Or maybe am I being too forward?

He thought he'd be able to dodge all the cars, but the truck seems to come out of nowhere and his eyes widen for a split second before... he's suddenly yanked away. With a shout of surprise as the truck flies past, Zuko suddenly finds himself, dazed and confused, in the middle of a dark alley.

For a moment he can only gape. Everything happening so fast he barely has time to register it. Then he blinks once, seemingly to come out of it and looking to his... rescuer?

"What? Who... What's going on here?!"

While at first Jinora looks a little confused at being called over by a stranger, when she hears the full request she looks absolutely delighted. Helping humans and spirits make friends? She was so in.

"Hmm, I'm not sure." When she reaches them she crouches down a little to smile at the bird spirit. "I wonder what kind of name you would want." And then she glances back up at Mikazuki for a moment.

"Have you know it long enough to know what kind of things it likes?"
