The White Swanfish Gala (Open to All, including party-crashers)
The White Swanfish Gala is this evening - A VIP-only event where invitations are only sent to the likes of the heads of industry, Mover stars, avatars, and their guests. The host is Wil Zan (Slade's affable civilian alter ego), and he is dressed in a fine white and blue silk nehru, smiling broadly and chatting with what seems like every patron there, one at a time. He has brought in the finest chefs to provide an unlimited stream of fine food and drink, popular musicians provide entertainment and lively music to dance to, and this gala is sure to be an event worth talking about for years.
Interestingly, Zan has set up some rather unusual security measures. Though your average riff-raff will be kept out, he has intentionally left strategic security gaps that can be bypassed by the bold and the cunning. Zan actually has men covertly watching these gaps, but instead of stopping these party-crashers, their instructions are to inform Zan. (This serves as a sort of test for potential apprentices that Slade may try to recruit in the future.)
((NOTE: This is an event log, so not every reply has to be toward Slade. Feel free to write what your character is doing at the party or how they snuck in, etc. "Zan" is likely to give you his attention, but others can too.))

Okay, for reals now, no more delays!
Yeah, I totally know what you mean. Some of these bigwigs just talk, talk, talk, and there's really no quieting them down. It's still weird how much one person can just talk about how bad President Raiko was. [The tone of his voice makes it very clear how little Bolin cares about it, even if he has met the man more than once.]
But yeah, you got it right! I'm Bolin, the actor behind the role of Nuktuk, Hero of the South, defender of the underprivileged and justice!
Uh, and you...? [Was he supposed to recognize her?]
i'm so sorry bolin...
[ It was true, the only old person she enjoyed talking to today was Lord Zuko. But Zuko was different, it was more "catching up" in a strange way. As for Bolin... he was much cuter in person than he was on the screen.
She giggles, tossing her braid over her shoulder as she puts on the Ty Lee charm. ] It's really nice to see you in person, Bolin! I really liked you in Nuktuk. You seem so much different in person-- In a good way, of course!
[ She flashes a smile. ] I'm Ty Lee, Varrick showed me Nuktuk because he wants me to be in his movers too! Maybe if we're lucky, we'll get to be in one together. [ And now she bats her eyelashes. ]
Are you really? Are you REALLY sorry?
It's a pleasure to meet you Ty Lee. [He takes her hand all elegantly—this was an elegant party, after all—though not so much as to actually kiss it or anything. After all, Opal is here too... somewhere.]
Oh you're a Nuktuk fan too, huh? [Bolin always loved meeting his fans; it was amazing how many of them were women aged 16 through 35.] I mean, of course I'm pretty different in person than Nuktuk; he isn't exactly my personality, much more confident, and much more brave... and I'll admit that the costume was a little tacky, but it was still rather fun to do.
But wow, you've already met Varrick? I didn't know he was already planning another mover! That's fantastic news!
[He doesn't quite catch on that Ty Lee is overtly flirting with him just yet.]
... okay i'm really not
Well, I don't know about a fan, but I'm sure you could convince me to be. [ With a false-coy smile she flutters her eyelashes once more. ] I liked the costume, but you look so handsome in what you're wearing now!
[ She nods in response. ] I don't know what it's going to be about, he just caught me on the street and offered to make me famous. How could I say no?
no subject
Well, yeah, [Bolin replies a little sheepishly.] When Varrick first showed me the Nuktuk costume, I thought it was a little bit, well, primal... and not really practical for real South Pole sort of activities. It's reaaaaally cold down there. Even here, it just doesn't... you know, fit in with what other people are wearing? So yeah, I think I prefer this too. Still, it did the job; I guess I can't really complain about that.
[His voice borders on that of strong self-confidence, as if all of that as if all of that had been preordained from the start. He talks in a friendly manner. He's certainly smiling a lot, and there's certainly a small blush on his cheeks at how friendly she's being to him; however, otherwise Bolin is entirely friendly and conversational, jumping from idea to idea as Ty Lee flusters him slightly.]
Oh I'm sure he's got a good idea for a mover. But I know exactly what you mean; I couldn't say no either when he offered to make me a mover star!
