4th Wall Event
With all the excitement going on with the penguin races, the spirits came to a conclusion that the citizens and the people they brought to this city just weren't doing their best job to take care of the problem that they were sensing. Maybe they didn't bring the right people, or maybe they just needed more protection. Things seemed far too quiet and it just didn't sit well with them. So, some of the stronger spirits who preferred to watch instead of interact with humans decided to combine their powers together to summon more people from all over the worlds.
Welcome to the Fourth Wall Event of Cyclicality.
The spirits are bringing in all sorts of people for three weeks to try and gain more help and more alliances to help protect Republic City from anything that may wish to harm it. Any characters can come into the game with their powers to try and help out Republic City or just make things even more chaotic for the citizens. Your characters can come in as their original self, or you can AU them into the setting as well.
At the end of the event the new characters that were pulled into Republic City will be sent back to their own homes, unless you wish to app the character you brought in. You will be able to app them and let them keep their memories of the event. That goes for the characters already in the game as well. However, any canon powers will be lost as usual upon apping unless they're a canon bender or apped as AU. An overflow post will be posted around this time next week depending on if there are a lot of people tagging/commenting, so hop to it, everyone!
Some rules to follow:
1. If you’re a player in the game and interested in participating in the event, use the [4th wall] tag. This will let everyone know if you want to participate. You can also tag posts here.
2. If you’re not in the game, you can post a starter post here or tag into someone else’s post who has the [4th wall tag].
3. As always, remember to be friendly! And, if you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a PM.

Bend the entire lake all at one time? Yeeeeeeah, no.
But... yeah, I mean, other than being dumped into the water and having a nice long bath, I feel great!
[Certainly there's some sarcasm there, though he at least doesn't sound that bad off.
[Though when Lloyd blow dries him, Sokka practically reacts defensively, trying to hold off the air hitting him as if by sheer force. It doesn't work of course, and the water is more or less blown away. A moment latter, his hair poofs out in a flamboyant fashion.]
no subject
[He trails off, staring wide-eyed at the effect his wind had on Sokka's hair. Then he bites his lip. Trying not to laugh. He quickly covers his mouth with his hand.
Not gonna laugh. Not gonna laugh.
Sorry, Sokka, he's fighting a losing battle here.]
1/2
It's not funny!
[But there's a sudden pause as thought strikes him.]
2/2
no subject
[Okay, there's no justification he can give, because it is pretty funny to him, and if he keeps going, he's just going to laugh again.
Change of subject it is!]
Yeah! Pretty cool, huh? I'm still trying to figure a lot of it out, but just think! Someday I could make tornadoes with my hands! All I'd have to do is go whoosh!
[He swirls his hands in his best idea for how tornado bending would go - though all he gets for his effort is a tiny dust devil that kicks up.]
no subject
I mean—
But—
There's only one airbender left in the world! And he's the Avatar!
[What's going on here?!]
no subject
no subject
[Until he gets to Aang.]
Wait, you know Aang?
But...
[The other names...
[And then it clicks.]
What year is this?
1/2
[He'll just... leave out the part where he thought Aang was Jinora. Kind of wasn't his most shining moment.]
2/2
no subject
[Yeah, he doesn't even know what to think of that.]
Well, I mean, that's kind of important, wouldn't you think? Knowing what today is? I mean, it should be the year 102. Two years after the Hundred Year War. At least that's what I remember. And there should be only one airbender. But you're telling me suddenly that there's an entire flock of them!
[Because flock is the proper collective noun for airbenders.]
So I'm guessing, just maybe, that the other thing might be different too!
no subject
[Nope, not sarcastic. Just
incredibly gulliblewilling to take someone at their word.]Uh... [He pauses here, looking awkward and embarrassed, rubbing the back of his neck. It's never fun having to admit you don't know something that everyone should.] Maybe? I guess I wouldn't really know. I'm sort of new here, and I'm pretty bad at history anyway.
no subject
No. We don't use unicycles to cross the water.
[Really, Lloyd? Really? But fine. Fine. He'll just have to do all of this the hard way.]
Well, I'll admit that I'm not a huge fan of history myself... but that's kind of what I need right now. So do you know where I can find someone that might be a little more knowledgeable about such things? Someone who has been around a little longer? And maybe likes history to boot?
no subject
Then I don't get it. What did unicycles have to do with anything?
[Yes, really, Sokka. Unfortunately, Lloyd has a harder time picking up on sarcasm when he doesn't really know the person speaking.]
Well, I could take you to Opal, or maybe Bolin. I bet one of them would know. I'm pretty sure they're both from this world.
[Whoops, and there went all his efforts not to say anything that might sound weird.]
no subject
[Someone help Sokka. Someone help him please.
[But that's only followed up by... Lloyd's indiscretion, and Sokka just sort of facefaults at it.]
Wait... are you saying you're not from this world?
no subject
[Unicycles are funny now??? O...kaaay...
His nonplussed expression immediately becomes a little sheepish when he realizes he just slipped up.]
Er...Maybe? [It's not a lie if he doesn't actually so no?] Would it be a big deal if I was?
no subject
No, it's not a big deal if you were. Well, other than that it is something that's never happened here before.
[Sait in the driest tone ever.
Though... hold on...]
But if you came from another world... how can you... airbend?
no subject
[He shrugs, not really sure if that's the case. He hasn't found anything proving things one way or another, so it's all just people's guesses right now.
He shakes his head at Sokka's other question.]
I have no idea. My, uh, other... bending? [He uses the term uncertainly, still not sure if it counts as the same thing.] Disappeared when I first got here. Then I started bending air. I don't get it either, but I figure it's still my bending, just... different.
no subject
It certainly wasn't me who brought people here; I've never even seen this city before, and I thought I'd been everywhere!
And so I'm sure the spirits are all having a really great laugh about freaking everyone here out with their mumbo-jumbo magic stuff. [Sokka just shrugs hopelessly and shakes his head.] Looks like we're stuck here together, wherever or whenever here is.
no subject
Yeah, that's how I felt when I first got here, too. Er... are you even from this world? Maybe you're like me after all. [That would explain why he's never seen this place, right?] Oh, but wait, you knew what airbending was...
[He runs a hand through his hair, making a frustrated noise, then just sighs.]
Ugh, this is giving me a headache.
no subject
I mean, I'd say I slept through everything that's happened here but... even if that was the case, I should still be older!
[But he does look out into the street and up into the air.]
But somehow... I'm guessing I must have. I mean, I invented those things up there, [he says, pointing up to the airships above,] but I have no idea what those things are, [he says, pointing to the satomobiles on the streets.]
no subject
[That logic works somehow. He's pretty sure of it.
His eyes follow Sokka's finger, first to the airships, then to the satomobiles. His eyes widen at the other teen's comment about the first.]
Whoa, you invented those? You must be some kind of genius!
no subject
But... the... past...? That means... [Sokka suddenly grabs Lloyd's shoulders, and his eyes bug out.] that I'm suddenly trapped IN THE FUTURE!? [Sokka's voice rises to a near panic.] Why am I in the future? How did I even get here? Oh man, what if giant eagle vultures somehow became the dominant species since my time and now sweep by to eat people for breakfast?!?
no subject
Giant eagle vultures?! Those exist?
[Okay, he's never seen one of those before, but he's got an imagination that works!]
How giant are we talking about?!
no subject
[Oh well, might as well double down!]
Giant! Giant like you'd never believe! Like the sizes of houses—no, BIGGER! Big enough that they could blot out the sun with their wings!
