4th Wall Event
With all the excitement going on with the penguin races, the spirits came to a conclusion that the citizens and the people they brought to this city just weren't doing their best job to take care of the problem that they were sensing. Maybe they didn't bring the right people, or maybe they just needed more protection. Things seemed far too quiet and it just didn't sit well with them. So, some of the stronger spirits who preferred to watch instead of interact with humans decided to combine their powers together to summon more people from all over the worlds.
Welcome to the Fourth Wall Event of Cyclicality.
The spirits are bringing in all sorts of people for three weeks to try and gain more help and more alliances to help protect Republic City from anything that may wish to harm it. Any characters can come into the game with their powers to try and help out Republic City or just make things even more chaotic for the citizens. Your characters can come in as their original self, or you can AU them into the setting as well.
At the end of the event the new characters that were pulled into Republic City will be sent back to their own homes, unless you wish to app the character you brought in. You will be able to app them and let them keep their memories of the event. That goes for the characters already in the game as well. However, any canon powers will be lost as usual upon apping unless they're a canon bender or apped as AU. An overflow post will be posted around this time next week depending on if there are a lot of people tagging/commenting, so hop to it, everyone!
Some rules to follow:
1. If you’re a player in the game and interested in participating in the event, use the [4th wall] tag. This will let everyone know if you want to participate. You can also tag posts here.
2. If you’re not in the game, you can post a starter post here or tag into someone else’s post who has the [4th wall tag].
3. As always, remember to be friendly! And, if you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a PM.

Well, I mean, the only real difference is that Colette might have tripped and fallen down as a result from that.
But hey, enough talking about that. What was that you just did? I've never seen you do anything like that before!
no subject
[Said like that's enough to defend his lack of grace.
Of course, then he gets promptly distracted, Genis's question making him blink - because he's not always aware when he's bending the air. (That's half of his problem to begin with.)]
Huh? What do you mean? You've seen me almost trip lots of- [He abruptly cuts that off with another flush.] I mean, I was just working!
[Yeah, graceful save.]
no subject
Look, I'm already convinced you're not Colette. But what was all that air stuff that you were doing just a bit ago. It looked kind of like magic.
no subject
Air stuff- Oh! [Lloyd's face lights up with sudden understanding.] Oh, that! Sorry, I didn't realize I was- You're talking about this, you mean, right?
[He punctuates the statement with a circular wave of his free hand that sends a small gust of wind Genis's way. Showing off?
Yes. Yes he is, but come on. How often is he going to get a chance like this?]
That's just airbending!
no subject
Don't answer that one.]Yes, Lloyd. That was exactly what I was talking about. [His voice is about the most deadpan that has ever been.
[But Genis just shakes his head after that.]
But no, that's actually magic! Lloyd, you finally figured out how to use magic! That's incredible! But why are you calling a wind spell airbending?
no subject
[Just a quick check because he's still not entirely sure how magic works.
His smile fades after that, though, expression turning more serious, maybe just a little bit troubled.]
Actually, I think it might be closer to using an arte. I haven't been able to use any of my artes since I got here. Just... this. [He waves another brief breath of wind.]
no subject
Well, other than the whole angelic powers part of magic, you're more or less correct. But you did get those wings once we defeated Yggdrasil, so...
[Still, Lloyd with magic? Perish the thought. The world was not ready for that. Ever. But that wasn't as much of a problem when it came to his artes.]
What do you mean you can't use your artes at all? I can still use mine. In fact, I completely froze a guy solid when one of the humans here started pushing me around.
... Buuuuuut, if that's the case... what is this place?
[Okay, that is a small exaggeration, but not too much.]
no subject
You think this might have something to do with being an angel? Since... I dunno, I guess wings and wind go together? [It... sort of makes sense, doesn't it? If you squint and apply Lloyd logic?] I'm serious, though. I can't even jump as high as before. I can fake some of my arts with the airbending, but you know it's not the same.
We're in Republic City. It's in a different world than Aselia. I don't know what the name of this world is, though. [He rubs the back of his head sheepishly.] I guess I never thought to ask.
no subject
Seriously, Lloyd? You do remember that your dad could use magic too, right? He was human, just like you were. But he had that Aionis ore injected into him so that he could use magic. But... as for you... well...
[Could Lloyd's Exsphere have done something similar? It wasn't how Zelos or Kratos got magic, but maybe it was still a possibility? But then... what about this place?]
So wait, we're in yet another world? [He pauses a beat.] I mean, I really probably shouldn't be surprised by that since this has already happened once, but still... another world? How do we go back?
no subject
[He cuts off, flushing a deep, deep red. That's not what he wants to think about!]
Yeah. I'm not sure this one's part of our world, though. It's... You have to see it. I mean really see it. It's really different from ours. [He's not sure he can explain, but he has no doubt that Genis will be able to pick up on what he's talking about.] I haven't figured out how to get back, though. I've been stuck here for months. But don't worry, I haven't given up. It just means I haven't looked in the right place yet.
no subject
Hey, maybe if this world is as different as you're saying, it has something to do with that instead. Maybe it isn't magic. It makes me wish Raine were here; she knows so much more about this stuff than I do.
But how can you have been gone for months? I just saw you the other day. You haven't been gone at all... unless maybe somehow these two worlds are completely disconnected or something. Though that doesn't make sense; that's not how it worked with Sylverant and Tethe'alla...
no subject
Just like he appreciates having another subject to focus on so he can try to get rid of that mental image.
Even better (or worse) that it's something as baffling as what Genis is telling him.]
Huh? You're right, that doesn't make any sense! How could you have seen me if I've been here all this time?
[The thought of imposters doesn't cross his mind, because for him, that hasn't happened yet. And the bit about being completely disconnected? Yeah, that went over his head.]
You think there's no way back because they're not connected?
no subject
[Genis holds his hands up as if to stop Lloyd from thinking down that line of thought.]
I mean, there has to be a way back to our world. Because otherwise how could we have gotten here? It wouldn't make sense for there to only be a one-way transport between Aselia and here.
But what I do mean is that, okay: You know how when we went between Sylverant and Tethe'alla that things were still happening in the other world while we were there? The two worlds functioned together as if they were one world, and time passed the same way across both.
But I'm not sure that's what's going on here. If I saw you just a little bit ago, that means you can't have been missing. Which means that the two worlds aren't running on the same time continuum.
[He just used a big word. It means he's going to have to explain it to Lloyd, he realises.]
That you're not actually missing in Aselia means that, for us here, time is frozen back home!
