[Open] Just a day in the Avatar life
Option A. Spirit Wilds (OPEN)
With the press catching on that she was "recovered" and around again, it was only a matter of time before they started trying to hound her for more information. And only a matter of time before Korra realized the Spirit Wilds were a perfect place for her to get some peace and quiet from them. The people in the city were still wary of the vines and tended to stay away. The spirits were a different matter, of course. The vines were their home, and Korra occasionally saw them watching her curiously as she passed.
There was one that was particularly persistent. She swore she saw those leafy ears disappearing behind some vines at least four times in the past half hour. What the heck was it doing?
When Korra heard some rustling behind her only a few minutes later, she stopped and said, "If you're going to follow me, you could at least quit it with the hiding act."
Except it wasn't the spirit at all when she turned around. "Oh, sorry! I thought you were...someone else."
Option B. Around Air Temple Island (OPEN)
Though Korra had trained all her life, there were still new things to be learned about bending all the time. After seeing a few air new air benders practicing the day before, Korra had the bright idea to do the same, with one of the more...interesting training moves. The tip of her tongue stuck out as she concentrated on balancing with one foot on the narrow pole, her hand raised and keeping a leaf dancing above her palm with a gentle air spiral. She stayed aloft for a few minutes, thinking how it wasn't as bad as she thought it might be...
Of course, her balance only lasted until a lemur, without a certain young air bender to latch onto, leapt onto her head and sent her tumbling to the ground with a yelp.
"Pokey, get back here! Ugh." Korra watched him fly off with a scowl as she rubbed at her head. Hopefully, no one had been around to see that...
Option C. Closed to Lord Zuko
Lord Zuko's presence in the city was a great relief to Korra, especially with Raiko, Lin, and Tenzin all missing. Now that a few weeks had passed, with still no news or developments, she thought it was high time she and Lord Zuko had another talk.
Following his directions to his home in Republic City, she loitered outside the door, twisting the material of her shirt between her fingers. This is stupid, she thought after a few minutes. Breathing in, she forced herself to raise her hand and knock on the door firmly.

A.
He took his arm out of a window that was mostly filled with a huge vine and brushed off his sleeve. Korra wasn't who he was expecting to run into today. "What are you doing way out here?"
no subject
“Actually, what are you even carrying in that box? It looks like the spirits are trying to steal it from you.” Was she supposed to be worried over here?
no subject
Actually, he distracted himself by paying too much attention to her.
"I don't know why they'd care, but I've been trying to salvage some of my stuff. Just books so far. Everything else got vined."
no subject
She watched the spirits following Mako for a moment, then turned her attention back to him. "So you're getting stuff from your old apartment? I could help, if there's anything left."
no subject
It sure felt like a lot longer, but that was only because Mako was getting frustrated with them moving his stuff. In fact, two more of those same types of spirits come out of his window holding a very ornate pen between them he reached out to nab it.
"That's the pen I got from becoming a detective. Grrh!" He snatched it back, though neither let go. "These spirits keep getting in the way."
He sighed and looked at Korra.
"Yeah, I could use the help. I'm not sure what's left in there."
no subject
"Hey, I think my friend here needs his pen back," she said, the grin threatening to take over her face. "Maybe we could find another one for you guys to uh, take away with you. How does that sound?"
The spirits appeared to think about it, then let go reluctantly. Korra lifted her hand away, leaving Mako with his precious, ornate pen. "Alright, now that we've saved your pen, let's take a look at the apartment. Lead the way, Officer."
no subject
"Thanks." It took a few moments for him to realize he was the only one holding the pen up anymore and he quickly tucked it away into his pocket. He checked around his feet for any spirits before setting his small box down.
"Well, it's not going to be easy." Mako worked away at some of the loose wood paneling around the broken window and he pushed into the vine to try to climb inside the vine filled room. "Not like I can bend the bricks out of the way." Said from almost getting his shoulders through the gap.
no subject
"Do you really want to try bending some of the bricks out? I can probably do it."
no subject
"D'- sure. Yeah. Go right ahead. That would make things easier." When he looked down to check on his box it was already three feet away and moving, with about eight different legs underneath it. He let out a grunt of frustration and went to pick up the box, but a vine cleanly broke though the pavement where he had it before and Mako mentally cursed his luck.
First spirits are trying to take his things, vines are still spreading, and he completely had a brain fart that Korra was, in fact, an earthbender.
"The sooner I can get this over with, the better."

Frowning, Korra mentally waved away that train of thought and turned back toward the window. A few strong bending moves later, she had cleared out a narrow doorway of sorts in the wall.
"Think this will work? I didn't want to open it up too much."
no subject
He easily fit through the narrow opening thanks to his lean build and opened his palm to light a fire in the darkness. "Just like I thought, completely trashed." Mako managed to pull his Fire Ferrets poster out from behind a vine embedded into the wall.
Everything was a mess and he had no where anything was. "Explains why the books were nearby the window. If you see anything, let me know." Both of them being firebenders meant they could cover more ground, of what wasn’t one of the intruding vines that made a jungle out of his old apartment.

“Looking for anything in partiular?” Korra wasn’t sure if they’d find it even with the two of them searching, but it would narrow their search down a little if there were specific things he’d wanted to rescue from the wreck. She ducked through a doorway, gaze skimming the surface.
Something caught her eye just then, and she bent down to take a closer look. What she saw made her pause. The Appa plush she’d won at the festival was a little dusty when she picked it up, but otherwise fine. She began to dust it off.

“If my book collection is anything to go off, I’m going to day no. I doubt anything important made-“ As he spoke, he turned to look at Korra and his words caught in his throat.
“Uh.“ That moment when his brain was moving through his entire vernacular faster than he could form a single word. “That’s- I mean, it’s“
