4th Wall Event
With all the excitement going on with the penguin races, the spirits came to a conclusion that the citizens and the people they brought to this city just weren't doing their best job to take care of the problem that they were sensing. Maybe they didn't bring the right people, or maybe they just needed more protection. Things seemed far too quiet and it just didn't sit well with them. So, some of the stronger spirits who preferred to watch instead of interact with humans decided to combine their powers together to summon more people from all over the worlds.
Welcome to the Fourth Wall Event of Cyclicality.
The spirits are bringing in all sorts of people for three weeks to try and gain more help and more alliances to help protect Republic City from anything that may wish to harm it. Any characters can come into the game with their powers to try and help out Republic City or just make things even more chaotic for the citizens. Your characters can come in as their original self, or you can AU them into the setting as well.
At the end of the event the new characters that were pulled into Republic City will be sent back to their own homes, unless you wish to app the character you brought in. You will be able to app them and let them keep their memories of the event. That goes for the characters already in the game as well. However, any canon powers will be lost as usual upon apping unless they're a canon bender or apped as AU. An overflow post will be posted around this time next week depending on if there are a lot of people tagging/commenting, so hop to it, everyone!
Some rules to follow:
1. If you’re a player in the game and interested in participating in the event, use the [4th wall] tag. This will let everyone know if you want to participate. You can also tag posts here.
2. If you’re not in the game, you can post a starter post here or tag into someone else’s post who has the [4th wall tag].
3. As always, remember to be friendly! And, if you have any questions, feel free to shoot us a PM.

[Sokka - from some show called Avatar or something]
[And he's also incredibly lost.]
Thanks Appa for not being able to fly in a straight line! Now where in the heck am I? And where did the others go?
[He'll be exploring Republic City here and there, trying to figure out where he is... and generally making snide and sarcastic comments whenever anyone asks why he's completely drenched. At least he's got a little bit of Water Tribe money on him for some delicious meat, even if he gets asked why he's got such old coins on him.]
no subject
Here, it's on me!
no subject
But then they'd be antiques! Worth even more!
[If only that argument carried weight.] Hey, them's the breaks, guy. We only take yuans here. We wouldn't even take current Water Tribe money if you had—
[And that's when Ty Lee just jumps into the mix, offering to pay for it. He takes the coin and looks it over before happily taking it.]
Now there, see? This is the sort of money you have to be paying with in this town. Now, let's see, two roast duck shish-kabobs. Thanks for paying.
[Sokka is a little bit annoyed by the vendor's rudeness, but whatever. He turns to Ty Lee to thank her.] Thank y—[, he starts before jumping a little bit before finally coming to.] You know, one of these days I'm going to actually remember that you're on our side now.
no subject
Ty Lee giggles in response. ] Of course I'm on your side! Suki would kill me if I tried to do anything to hurt you or your friends! Not that I would want to hurt you-- of course! I like you and your friends in, like, the friendly way!
[ Let's face it, playing babysitter to Zuko wasn't an ideal job. Having members of the Gaang occasionally pop in made the moody Fire Lord much easier to deal with. ]
So, I guess the vines decided to bring you to the city too, huh?
1/2
Well I'm glad you like us in the friendly way as opposed to... the non-friendly way! But hey, that's all behind us, right, right?
[It certainly helped knowing that, now that he was stuck in this crazy place. Though he can't help but be a little hesitant when Ty Lee mentions the vines.]
2/2
...
Did I get kidnapped by a spirit again?
no subject
Something about Sokka's reaction caused Ty Lee to giggle in spite of herself. He made even distress seem comical whether intentional or not. ]
I never thought about it that way, I guess you could say we were kidnapped! [ She was also cheery about the situation considering she was possibly kidnapped as well. ] But it's not so bad here and it's not just us! Aang and Zuko are here too! Though, I must be the only Kyoshi Warrior, I've been here weeks and I haven't seen a single one.
[ Which leads her to her next point. ] Oh, that's right! I should probably tell you we're in the future, that's why the guy wouldn't take your coin and everything looks all different. [ She waves her hands around vaguely at the rather large buildings and the Satomobiles. ]
no subject
[Clearly, there is time bending at work.]
You're telling me that we've been kidnapped by strange vines that actually think and kidnap people. And that everyone else is here, the Kyoshi warriors are gone. Oh, AND we're in the future surrounded by really tall buildings and these loud things that go fast?
[Pause.]
This is one of Momo's dreams. Isn't it?
no subject
[ She shrugs. ] I don't know, can Momo's dreams go on for months? I've been here for a few now-- Well, a few and then I time traveled again and returned as a Kyoshi Warrior!
no subject
[Okay, Sokka, just calm down; breathe. It can't be too hard.]
So... okay, let's just say... hypothetically here, that this is all real, that this is totally expected and that we both actually have to deal with the fact that we're in the future.
What are we even doing here!?
no subject
Whoa, you look like you just got dumped in a lake. Or... did someone dump a lake on you?
[Because it suddenly occurs to Lloyd that that could be a thing that someone could do. Man, he's still getting used to what all people's bending can do.]
no subject
Lakes just don't fall from the sky! Though I'm sure my sister would like to try that on me some day.
But now, one moment I was flying high on a flying bison, the next moment...
pppffffeeeeeeeeewwwwwwww SPLASH! [He accompanies this with a motion like falling out of the sky and hitting the water.]
no subject
[Nope, he doesn't really have a concept for the limits on bending just yet.
He does wince at Sokka's description, though. Falling off a bison into water who knows how far down...]
Ouch. Are you alright? [Because that had to hurt.] Here, let me help dry you off.
[Look at that, he just thought of a new use for airbending! One that doesn't require precision, which means he can totally pull it off! Hope Sokka doesn't mind the good, brisk wind that Lloyd bends with a swish of his hands.]
no subject
Bend the entire lake all at one time? Yeeeeeeah, no.
But... yeah, I mean, other than being dumped into the water and having a nice long bath, I feel great!
[Certainly there's some sarcasm there, though he at least doesn't sound that bad off.
[Though when Lloyd blow dries him, Sokka practically reacts defensively, trying to hold off the air hitting him as if by sheer force. It doesn't work of course, and the water is more or less blown away. A moment latter, his hair poofs out in a flamboyant fashion.]
no subject
[He trails off, staring wide-eyed at the effect his wind had on Sokka's hair. Then he bites his lip. Trying not to laugh. He quickly covers his mouth with his hand.
Not gonna laugh. Not gonna laugh.
Sorry, Sokka, he's fighting a losing battle here.]
1/2
It's not funny!
[But there's a sudden pause as thought strikes him.]
2/2
no subject
[Okay, there's no justification he can give, because it is pretty funny to him, and if he keeps going, he's just going to laugh again.
Change of subject it is!]
Yeah! Pretty cool, huh? I'm still trying to figure a lot of it out, but just think! Someday I could make tornadoes with my hands! All I'd have to do is go whoosh!
[He swirls his hands in his best idea for how tornado bending would go - though all he gets for his effort is a tiny dust devil that kicks up.]
no subject
I mean—
But—
There's only one airbender left in the world! And he's the Avatar!
[What's going on here?!]
no subject
no subject
[Until he gets to Aang.]
Wait, you know Aang?
But...
[The other names...
[And then it clicks.]
What year is this?
1/2
[He'll just... leave out the part where he thought Aang was Jinora. Kind of wasn't his most shining moment.]
2/2
no subject
[Yeah, he doesn't even know what to think of that.]
Well, I mean, that's kind of important, wouldn't you think? Knowing what today is? I mean, it should be the year 102. Two years after the Hundred Year War. At least that's what I remember. And there should be only one airbender. But you're telling me suddenly that there's an entire flock of them!
[Because flock is the proper collective noun for airbenders.]
So I'm guessing, just maybe, that the other thing might be different too!
no subject
[Nope, not sarcastic. Just
incredibly gulliblewilling to take someone at their word.]Uh... [He pauses here, looking awkward and embarrassed, rubbing the back of his neck. It's never fun having to admit you don't know something that everyone should.] Maybe? I guess I wouldn't really know. I'm sort of new here, and I'm pretty bad at history anyway.
