This was awkward. It started well, it really did! But now? It was super awkward.

The first friend she makes in this city was probably a negative friend at this point. The only reason she's probably even sticking around at this point was because there was literally no other place to sit at this food shack, and she already got her noodles cold because of SOME PEOPLE. (By which she means tiny, eager airbenders such as herself.)

Really though, this is what she got for trying to make small talk. Protip, she thought to herself, definitely don't try to point out scars on people's faces, even if it was meant to be a compliment. If you thought someone was tough? Just stay quiet! Also, don't say anything about what they should do as a job, either. That probably gives you more negative friend points.

Ruby's looking at Weiss, clearing her throat slowly. She should probably say something. Instead, she's almost staring... but at least she has an apologetic look on her face!]

[ Yang holds her hand out palm-out to stop Weiss. ]

Don't worry about it, it's on me. It's the least I can do when I'm about to pummel you. [ She smirks and turns on heal before Weiss even gets a chance to react. ]

... [how do you respond to that? she's torn between thanking Yang and arguing with her. she smirks back herself and crosses her arms over her chest, leaning back into her seat]

[ It's only a few minutes later when Yang comes back, balancing two plates of dumplings on top of her own bowl of noodles. ]

Here you go. [ She gives the top one to Weiss. ] Aaaand, one for you too.

[ The second goes to Ruby, they're a little squished from Weiss's plate but if Ruby doesn't eat them, Yang will. Sitting down she has a few bites of noodles before returning her attention to waterbender again. ] So, what do you think of the city so far?

somehow i don't think a dumpling being squished is going to stop ruby from eating it

[Weiss nods her thanks before picking up the dumpling. it's warm and fresh, and she's glad that she decided to get one. with all the exercising she'll be doing, it doesn't worry her that she's eating more calories than usual. also, it was free.]

It's big and I haven't seen much of it yet. But I've only been here for a few days.

[ Meanwhile Yang is slurping down noodles while she talks, nodding along. She's at least polite enough to wait until she's swallowed before speaking. ]

Guess we're all in the same boat then, huh? It's the same for us, we got in just a few days before people started appearing out of nowhere.

[it appeared as though neither of the girls could go without slurping their noodles... thankfully Yang doesn't spray her sauce everywhere! Weiss will be patient for now]

I'd heard about that yesterday. I'm not sure I understand, though. How can people just appear out of nowhere?

[ What could they say? It was a family thing. A family of noodle slurpers. ]

Not sure. There's a lot of rumors flying around though, I'm pretty sure the most popular ones are it had to do with the spirit world pulling people. [ She shrugs. ] I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I ran in to teenager Lord Zuko. [ She laughs, not entirely sure she believes it herself still. ]
