This would be her first and though she knew about earthbending on principal, she had never been an earthbender and so couldn't say she knew about the practice of it beyond what she could learn as a non-bender.

How about no shots near each other's heads? Most probenders do this with padded helmets along with other protection so it might be better to avoid anything too harmful.
