[This leaves Bolin in a rather messy mixture of emotions. At first he's super concerned for Opal just wearing herself out by just pushing herself way too hard trying to do everything. But that's mixed with a sudden odd flame of jealousy. Not that he's jealous of anyone in particular, but he can't help but feel a twinge when Opal's not only picked Zaofu but her training consistently above spending just a few moments of time with him.

[And so this totally leads him into saying something that he kind of means... yet saying it in a totally horrible way.]
